As African champions, Cameroon needs to bounce back from their opening day loss to Chile at the FIFA  Confederations Cup.

According to Vanguard, the team’s head coach, Hugo Broos has rallied his players to inflict maximum damage on Australia, who they confront today in Russia.

After their first loss at the tournament, the Indomitable Lions will on Thursday take on an Aussie side,  who have been plagued by many setback ahead of the tournament, coupled with captain Mile Jedinak  ousted from the event, due to a persistent groin injury. The Aussies also lost Bradley Smith during the win over Saudi Arabia, with the Bournemouth defender suffering a hamstring injury. His place has been taken by 20-year-old Alex Gersbach, who has two caps to his name.
Today’s encounter, will be the first-ever between the two teams. Both sides are considered strong in attack even though they both lost their opening matches. However, many African football lovers are hoping the Lions will bounce back and make the continent proud.
