2018 Presidential Election:Kamto to unveil own coalition

The President of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement Maurice Kamto will on Monday unveil a coalition force with other political parties ahead of the Presidential election scheduled for October 7.

The evbent would take place at the party’s headquarter in Odza, Yaounde and will see Kamto also present his political program as well as campaign coordination team, the Cameroon Renaissance Movement said in a statement.

“On Monday 17 September 2018 at 11:30am at the party head office, the Cameroon Renaissance Movement will: Present the coalition established behind the presidential candidate Maurice Kamto,  Present the program of Maurice Kamto, CRM candidate for the upcoming presidential election on 7 October 2018, Present the campaign general coordination team behind Maurice Kamto,” the party said.

Earlier this month, the leader of the MPCN party Paul Eric Kingue said he would be backing Maurice Kamto’s Presidential bid after an extraordinary meeting of his party.

Maurice Kamto is the latest figure to present a coalition of forces after the flag bearer of the FPD party Akere Muna weeks ago presented a number of parties that have opted to join his movement ahead of the election.
