Cameroon get a rare win in their opening game of a major competition since 2006. Goals from Yaya Banana and Stephane Bahoken gave all three points to the Indomitable Lions.

88′: Clinton Njie is close to adding a third there but is flagged offside before he unleashes his strike

85′: Cameroon are managing the game perfectly here and winding down the clock.

66’Goallllllllllllllllllll Cameroon 1-0 Guinea Bissau. Yaya Banana rises high and heads Toko Ekambi’s corner to put Cameroon ahead. The goal had been coming for a while.

62′: Guinea Bissau probing as Ngadeu clears but the Djurtus come forward again as Mane unleashes a strike from 30 yards that goes just wide off Onana’s bar.

59′: Michael Ngadeu breaks up play as Sorry Mane tries to counter for Guinea

58′: Cameroon will a free kick on the edge of the Guinean box as Choupo, Bassogog and Anguissa stand over but the chance goes begging

53: Cameroon almost caught at the back there as Andre Onana attempts to clear Yaya Banana’s weak pass but Fredy Mendy’s block flies just over the bar.

51′: Choupo Moting wriggles his way into the box but his cross-cum shot evades everyone in the box

49′: Cameroon comes close as Toko Ekambi flicks the ball to Choupo Moting whose clean strike is parried for a corner by Mendes.

47′: Guinea Bissau with some early pressure here but Cameroon weathere the storm and are on the front foot but Toko Ekambi is flagged offside after racing through on goal.

46′: Guinea Bissau gets us underway for the second half…

45+1′: Half Time here in Ismaila as as the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are still goalless against Guinea Bissau. It has been attack versus defence all through as Clarence Seedorf will be delighted with what he has seen from his charges. But he will be hoping they convert these half chances in the second half.

44′: Toko Ekambi races  behind the Guinean defence but skews his shot wide. There will be one minute of added time.

41: It has been attack versus defence as we approach half time but Cameroon are still to find a way to break pass the Guinean defence.

39′: Cameroon win another corner but Dawa is penalised for a foul from Djoum’s cross

37: Guinea push forward as Onana and misses his punch under pressure from Mane but the Cameroon defence clears.

35′: Another Chance goes begging as Yaya Banana takes the free kick short to Bassogog whose in swinger finds the head of Dawa Tchakonte but the Guinean goalkepeer  Mendes then a defender clear their lines.  That was close there.

34′: Cameroon have the chance to launch a free quick in the Guinean box after Piquetti’s lunging challenge on Bassogog

30′: What a Chance!!!!!! Toko Ekambi races behind the Guinean defence and faced with the on rushing goalkeeper, squares his pass to Christian Bassogog who somehow blasts his shot infront of an empty net. That was difficult to miss at least the target.

29′: Better connection there between midfield and attack as Zambo Anguissa threads in a pass to Bassogog behing the Guinean defence the the winger takes one touch too many and the chance goes begging.

27′: The stink in the game has just died down as both teams have played a series of misplaced passes but Cameroon now look to take back control of the game.

24: SHOT!! Zambo Anguissa takes a shot just out of the Guinean box but the goalkeeper had the angle covered as the ball goes just wide.

22′: Sori Mane wins a rare corner for Guinea Bissau but the Cameeroon defence immediately clear their lines.

19′: Penalty shouts for Cameroon there as Michael Ngadeu raises high above the Guinean defence to head a Choupo’s cross goalward but a defender just takes the pace off the ball with his knee for the goalkeeper to collect there as the Cameroon players were making suggestions of a handball there.

17′:Cameroon are asking for a corner there after Bassogog’s cross is cleared by a Guinean defender but the referee awards a goal kick. The Indomitable Lions have taken slight control of the game.

15′: Choupo Moting races into the box and squares his pass which is behind the on rushing attackers and the Guinean defence clears.

13′: Throw in for Cameroon as Oyongo Bitolo’s cross is cleared by the Guinean defence. The ensuing throw in gives nothing as Cameroon are penalised for a foul committed by Bassogog.

10′: Big chance there for Pele as he works his way in front of the Cameroon box before unleashing a shot that flies just milimetres away over Andre Onana’s bar.

06′: Cameroon get a big chance here as Christian Bassogog is played in behind the Guinean defence but he skews his shot over the on rushing goalkeeper and the bar
