Afcon 2019:Cameroon recall Bassogog for Malawi game

Christian Bassogog has been recalled to face Malawi

Cameroon have recalled forward Christian Bassogog for next month’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Malawi.

Bassogog returns to the side after he was left out in head coach Clarence Seedorf’s first list last month for the game away at the Comoros.

Clarence Seedorf also recalled Olympique Marseille striker Clinkton Njie after he was cleared from a disciplinary hearing by the Cameroon Football Federation. However the striker is a doubt for the game after limping off last Sunday against Lyon with a groin injury.

A first call was handed to Switzerland-based forward Dimitri Oberlin while defender Allan Nyom was dropped from the squad.
