Bali DO’s office burnt down

The office of the Divisional Officer for Bali in the North West Region was early on Sunday morning burnt down by unknown men, residents have confirmed.

Residents confirmed the fire broke out on Saturday night breaking Sunday morning but residents could do nothing to put out the fire which had taken over the building.

Bali has been under high security alert in recent weeks following waves of violenece which has led to the abduction of a police officer and the destruction of a filling station.

The burning in Bali came just 24 hours after the Government Teachers’ Training College in Ndop was razed down by unknown men.

Waves of violence have swept across the North West Region in the past weeks with suspected Ambazonia armed men taking over the streets of Bamenda on Tuesday, ghosting the city and leading to a shootout with security forces which led to a minimum of two deaths.
