Botswana has been kicked out of the ongoing Netball World Youth Cup in Gaborone after they won 3-matches out of the four Group stage games, APA learnt here Thursday.International Netball Federation Official, Liz Broomhead explained that in the event that more than two teams have the same points the goal ratio decides which team sails through to the final 8.

Botswana has the same points (6), with Uganda and Jamaica in Pool C but their goal difference let them down as they finished third to crash out and will only play for placement 9-12. When it comes to goals, Uganda has a better goal difference (78) followed by Jamaica (53) and hosts Botswana (53).

In a late night match on June 13, Jamaica beat Uganda 44-39 to join them in the last 8 and these means that the two teams proceed to the quarter finals.
