The Botswana police have issued a warrant of arrest and also applied for extradition of a Swazi man who has allegedly set up a drug warehouse in that country, APA learns here on Tuesday.Dumisani Maxwell Kunene lived in Botswana after he escaped from Swaziland when the local police wanted him for a US$53,000 fraud he allegedly committed at Conco Limited in Matsapha, Swaziland.
Local police have confirmed that their Batswana counterparts have sought for an extradition order to have Kunene returned to Botswana to face trial.
The police said the suspect is believed to be in the country and in hiding at Fairview in Manzini.
Just recently, three Swazi men were arrested in Botswana while trying to smuggle a consignment of drugs into that country through the Sikwane Border gate.
The trio were said to be in cohorts with five South African men and three Batswana men, according to the Directorate of Intelligence and Security.
