Cameroon’s Buea Tech Community, widely known as the Silicon Mountain, has fixed the annual Silicon Mountain Conference for November 18.
The conference to take place at Chariot Hotel Complex in Buea under the theme, “Building Scalable and Profitable Ventures”, is expected to feature interesting keynotes from Africa’s Digital Leaders and Entrepreneurs such as; Roland Nkwemain, the Founder of Go Ahead Africa and James Ntui,CEO of Addax Petroleum.
Silicon Mountain Conference (SMConf ) is the flagship conference of Buea’s technological community which attracts creatives, programmers and community organizers from Cameroon to the Mount Fako area for a day of code labs, workshops and sessions of inspiration and fun.
Going by a press release from the organisers, the conference will present inspirational workshop sessions and presentations on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) – related topics, Design and Community Management. Startups and companies are also expected to present their products and services at the booths to attendees. The release further states that the conference will end with a two-hour networking session where key startup founders and community managers will liaise with corporate guests, business executives and government officials.
