Cameron: Boko Haram kills two soldiers in fresh attack in Nigeria

Two soldiers of the Cameroon Defence Forces CDF reportedly lost their lives and few others got injured in a gunfire with Boko Haram elements in Northern Eastern Borno State in Nigeria last Saturday March 20.

 According to Nigerian based website Business Recorder, the insurgents on foot and in several trucks fitted with machine guns attacked Nigerian soldiers outside the town of Wulgo, a known Boko Haram hideout.

In a bit to assist their neighbours, soldiers of the Cameroon Defence Forces deployed from across the border and were equally attacked.

In the cause of this attack, two CDF soldiers were killed, three others injured alongside one Nigerian soldier.

An armoured vehicle belonging to the Nigerian army and two Boko Haram trucks were destroyed in the fight while “several” jihadists were “neutralised”, a Nigerian military source said.

In a similar note, Boko Haram fighters attacked and killed three civilians in the locality of Mokolo, Mayo Tsanaga Division, Far North region Monday March 22.

Several others who were injured have been hospitalized at the Mokolo hospital.

The fighters are said to have stormed the locality at about 9pm when it was in complete darkness due to power cut and carried away food stuffs.
