The Minister of territorial administration Paul Atanga Nji has exalted Cameroonian pilgrims ready to take off for Mecca to pray for unity in Cameroon once at the holy land.
Minister Paul Atanga Nji made the plea today during a consultation meeting held with group leaders of the 2019 Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca.
He called on them to take the opportunity of their trip to the holy land to beseech Allah to cause peace to reign in Cameroon.
“I think we should be moving toward perfection because the President of the country has an eye on the organization of the hajj. We want that the pilgrims should go and pray for peace to reign in Cameroon, pray for President Paul Biya and pray for unity in Cameroon” Atanga Nji said.
Concerning the organisation of the trip, Minister Atanga Nji challenged them to work together to ensure everything is ready before their departure announced for the 29 of this month.
Reports hold that close to 3000 pilgrims will travel to Saudi Arabia this year.
