The Gov’t has added one more week to this year’s Easter break for secondary schools originally scheduled to end on Sunday April 4.
According to a release signed by the Minister of Secondary Education, Prof Nalova Lyonga, students will return to class rooms come Monday April 12.
The release states that students in examination classes will continue their lessons both physically and online thanks to a programme developed by the Ministry.
As for students of intermediate classes, they will have access to the online platform of the Ministry for distance learning.
Proprietors and school principals have been called upon to ensure the strict respect of anti-COVID-19 barrier measures and make sure students are not overwhelmed with assignments during this Easter break.
As to why the break has been extended to its accustomed two weeks, nothing has been said by the Ministry.
