Cameroon: About 14 killed in fresh suicide bomb attack in F/N

A fresh suicide bomb attack from elements of the Boko Haram Islamic group is said to have claimed the lives of about fourteen people in Mozogo, Mayo Tsanaga Division in the Far North region.

According to reports, the attack took place in the night of Thursday January 7 breaking Friday.

The suicide bomber detonated the explosive in Mozogo, a locality in the Far North region, killing fourteen, including one Boko Haram element and the suicide bomber.

This attack is the third since the year 2021 began in the Far North region.

As far as Mozogo is concerned, it is the second time in six months for inhabitants of the locality to loose relatives to a Boko Haram attack.

Last year on August 12, a teacher at Lycee de Mozogo, Edmond Tchamaya was surprized in his cotton farm by some elements of the Islamic sect and brutally murdered.
