Cameroon: accident on Douala-Yaounde highway leaves three dead

At least three personss are reported to have died during an accident that occured on the Douala-Yaounde highway on Friday November 3, sources have confirmed.

The accident is said to have happened in the locality of Sombo when a heavy duty truck hit a small private vehicle leaving three women who were occupants of the vehicle dead, sources said.

A fourth person and driver of the vehicle sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to a nearby medical facility where he later regained consciousness but remain in critical condition.

The driver of the heavy duty truck is however said to be on the run after the accident.
