The Ambazonia Military Forces through its military high command have rejected the 10-days lockdown announced by a reported faction of the interim Ambazonia government in the restive North West and South West regions of Cameroon.
This information is contained in a press release signed by the different Generals of the Ambazonia Military Forces and made public yesterday.
“The Generals, following extensive discussions with the population on the ground…have decided to declare the call null and void…inform the population to go about with their normal activities until further notice all over Ambazonia.” Part of the release reads.
According to these Generals, the decision was taken without due consultations with the forces on the ground, represented by the Ambazonia Military forces.
Added to that, they affirm the communication department of the Ambazonia leaders imprisoned have equally rejected the initiative as unnecessary at that time.
Some days ago, a faction of the interim government of the “Ambazonia Republic” called for a 10-days lockdown of the “Federal Republic of Ambazonia” with some citizens already observing it.
