Cameroon artist scoops top award after strong show at World Youth Forum

Journalist cum musician Anjianjei Constantine aka Wams Mr. Klassic recently wrote a new page in his promising career last week with a strong show at the World Youth Forum in Egypt.

Wams who is one of the privileged Cameroonians and African to be invited at the forum used the opportunity to promote sustainable development through music.

In front of leaders drawn from various parts of the world, Wams hit “newsman” drew thunderous applause from participants who were touched by the message he was passing across.

Performing the song “newsman” that strives to uphold the place of a journalist in the society was timely that saw Cameroon grapple with issues of freedom.-Wam’s performance couldn’t have come at a better time.

He was later on awarded  the prize of the “best inspirational song in the Central African sub region at the Ovuum awards in Geneva, Switzerland.

“I want to dedicate this prize to my fans, all music lovers and promoters and I promise to give them the best with their support,”Wams said.

He also used the opportunity to announce the release of his much anticipated album next month accompanied by a special tour in major cities.

But first, Wams is back to base is skipping through his busy schedule to honour various media invitations. He would be on popular Sunday program Bantu on Douala-based television LTM.
