Cameroon: Bafoussam to host 3rd playing day of Basketball championship

The headquarter of the West region welcomes on Saturday and Sunday both male and female teams participating at the senior national basketball championship.

After Yaounde, it is Bafoussam’s turn to host the grouping of Cameroon’s senior male and female national basketball championship. The games will be played at the city council multisport  complex.

Though the two leaders of the championship (FAP Basketball Club of Yaounde and Le Nkam ) who have already recorded five victories each are said to be absent, the games scheduled, assures lovers of basketball a quality display of talents.  

For instance, BEAC who presently holds the third position will be challenged by Ornyx Yaounde. A team which has just been restructured, has a lot of young talented players ready to knock out their opponents.

More tough will be the games of Nzuimanto or University of Douala. Both teams as well as Douala Fayabet until now have registered only two victories in the championship.

The Bafoussam grouping is then an opportunity for them to give a new impetus to their participation at the championship and to grab more points in order to end amidst the first four synonymous to a qualification for the final four tournament.

On the other hand, Ladies are not going to be left out during this weekend’s basketball party. Still at Bafoussam, University of Douala will try to safeguard her leading position. The team, it should be said, already has five points.

Just behind them are the ladies of Overdose basketball club, having only four victories in five matches played. The other female teams are FAP and Ornyx.

The last grouping of the senior male and female basketball championship will be held Douala.
