Over 5000 students officially graduated from the University of Bamenda on Saturday December 8 in a ceremony that held at the school campus.
Presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the institution Prof. Theresia Akenji, the graduation ceremony held under tight security on campus following threats from armed men to disrupt the occasion.
The guest speaker of the day, Prof. Ibrahim Kashim Talla urged the graduating students to adhere to and respect the virtues of morality and professionalism as they embrace the job market.
Representing the Minister of Higher Education, the Governor of the North West Region, Adolphe Lele LAfrique called on the students to be responsible citizens and be ready to serve the country where ever duty calls.
Despite security threats, it was a successful event with Kinyuy Tatiana Ngalim from the department of medical laboratory sciences emerging as best graduating student with a Grade Point Average of 3.75 on 4.
