Cameroon: BCG vaccine now available

Cameroon’s Public Health Minister, Andre Mama Fouda, said in a release this Monday that the country has procured the “Bacillus Calmette–Guérin (BCG) vaccine, which ran out of stock recently.

The vaccine used to prevent Tuberculosis and severe respiratory diseases attributed to Koch’s bacillus, will be dispatched to health facilities in the ten regions of the country, the release notes.

Minister Andre Mama Fouda, reassures parents whose children are waiting for the vaccine that they will be able to receive the vaccine at their usual health facilities as from Thursday December 21, 2017.
