Hélène Conway Mauret as part of her regional tour in Africa, was received in audience last Friday by the Minister Delegate in charge of Defense.
The two authorities had a discussion on the cooperation ties between Cameroon and France. For nearly two hours, the minister delegate to the presidency, in charge of defence, Joseph Beti Assomo, and the senator of the defense committee of the French Senate and also senator for French people living abroad looked into the future of relations between the two countries. But also the role that Cameroon like other African countries can play amdist international discussions.
Although Hélène Conway-Mouret did not disclose enough information on the exchanges, she nevertheless presented few elements at the end of the hearing,
“the minister drew up both the security picture which interests both the Cameroon and France. We talked about security issues in the region and beyond, since we discussed the war in Ukraine, then the new world order that is being put in place and the role that Europe and Africa will play in it.”
During this audience with Hélène Conway-Mauret, also took part, the French ambassador to Cameroon, Christophe Guilhou and the defense attaché at the French embassy, Thierry Chipot.
