At least sixty seven houses were burnt to ashes last weekend by suspected Boko Haram Haram fighters during an attack carried out on the locality of Goshi, Far North region of Cameroon, sources have confirmed.
The attacks pwere carried out on the night of Saturday May 11 breaking Sunday May 13 as the assailants equally destroyed warehouses of food stuffs as well as a church.
Though no deaths were recorded, the assailants made away with valuable food items as well as motorbikes which they seized from the villagers.
Local authorities led by the Divisional Officer of Mokolo went to the scene on Sunday morning to assess the damage caused by the attackers.
Attacks by Boko Haram fighters in the Far North region have been frequent in the past month with at least ten soldiers killed as well as civilians and properties destroyed.
