Camair-Co’s new aircraft touched down in Douala, the economic capital on August 4th, 2022 from Ethiopia,reports says it is approximately 90M Euros, without further details.
After years marked by financial difficulties, poor performance and the limitation of its services due to the health crisis, Camair-Co is getting a new plane. It is: “The Boeing Company B373-7BD” of flight QC728.
The aircraft took off from Douala International Airport on Thursday, August 4, 2022. Basically, this new plane is one of the two Boeing 737s, owned by Camair-Co, which was under repair in the workshops of Ethiopian Airlines in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Nevertheless, the plane is brand new, with new engines and a totally new cabin. It has 117 seats in Economy Class and 12 in Business Class for the purpose.
This is undoubtedly a continuation in the strategy of Camair-co to resume its rise. The company had announced, before the AFCON (African Cup of Nations) the strengthening of its domestic operating plan.
The company had then acquired two aircraft of the Bombardier Q400 brand and internal sources report new leasing operations. With a new flight schedule to better ensure rotation during the competition.
