Cameroon: Chantier naval workers on strike over 13 months of unpaid salaries

Workers of the Cameroon Shipyard and Industrial Engineering LTD better in its French appellation, Chantier naval have gone on strike since Monday March 16.

They are asking for thirteen months of unpaid salaries for the year 2020, salaries of January and February 2021, retirement benefits, annual leave dues and unpaid bonuses dating back from 2010.

Besides these, the workers have asked for the resignation of the Financial and Commercial Delegates and the departure of retired personnel still in service.

By the time this piece was published, we were yet to get from the Management of the electrical and electronic manufacturing company.
