About 15 persons including children are said to have lost their lives in a collision between a 70-seater bus and a heavy duty truck early this Thursday August 5 along the Yaounde-Bertoua road.
According to unofficial sources, the accident occurred some few hours ago around Awae, a locality in the Mefou and Afamba Division, Centre region of Cameroon.
The bus belonging to the Avenir Voyage inter urban transport agency is said to have collided with the heavy duty drug coming from an opposite direction, leaving some 16 persons, including children dead on the spot and many injured.
Due to the violent nature of the shock, some corpses are not identifiable. They have been transported to a nearby mortuary.
As at now, nothing official has been made public on the accident.
