Cameroon: draw for interpools postponed

The draw for the interpools competition to determined the clubs promoted to the MTN Elite II Championship has been postponed to a date yet to be announced, sources have confirmed.

The draw was initially scheduled for Friday at the headquarter of the Cameroon Football Federation in Tsinga before the venue was moved to a hotel in town and finally postponed.

Sources say, delegates did not agree on the format of the tournament which had to see teams drawn in two groups to determined those qualified for the competition.

However, the kick off date for the competition has been maintained for the 23 September and Fecafoot’s Secretary General Martin Etonge has assured the draw will take place after an agreement must have been reached on the format of two groups of five teams each.
