Cameroon: Fecafoot appoints new scribe

The Normalisation Committee of the Cameroon Football Federation has appointed Benjamin Didier Banlock as its new Secretary General, the body has announced.

The Normalisation Committee said in a communiqué that it had unanimously taken the decision to appoint Benjamin Banlock for a three-month interim basis as the Secretary General of Fecafoot to see out their mandate before a new executive is elected.

The 39-year old replaces Martin Etonge who has been appointed as adviser to the President of the Normalisation Committee, Dieudonné Happi.

The Normalisation Committee said it made the changes to guarantee transparency and impartiality before the start of the electoral process at the Cameroon Football Federation.

Benjamin Banlock who until his appointment on Monday was the Director of the African branch of the scouting and football data analysis firm Wyscout will now be heavily involved in assisting the Normalisation Committee to organise elections at Fecafoot before the end of their mandate.
