Cameroon: Fecafoot partners with CRTV for broadcast of football matches

Cameroon’s Football Federation, Fecafoot has signed a partnership agreement with State owned media, Cameroon Radio Television, CRTV giving the latter the exclusive rights to broadcast football matches organized by the federation.

 

The partnership agreement was signed this Friday April 16 at the headquarters of Fecafoot in Yaounde.

Signing on behalf of Fecafoot was its interim President, Seidou Mbombo Njoya and on behalf of CRTV its Director General, Charles Ndongo.

The agreement gives State owned media CRTV exclusive rights to broadcast all football matches organized by Fecafoot including; professional championships, Guinness Super League and the Cameroon Cup.

According to Fecafoot interim boss, the partnership agreement marks a new beginning for local football on TV.

“Fecafoot and CRTV are a national heritage, our ambition is to make local football to be a product as strong as the indomitable lions…” He told the press.

CRTV’s Director General on his part took the commitment on behalf of his team to give in their best to ensure effective broadcast.

Also present at the signing ceremony was Communication’s Minister Rene Emmanuel Sadi who doubles as Board Chair of CRTV.

The Government’s Spokesperson said the partnership comes as a response to the many preoccupations of football lovers on the absence of local football broadcast.
