Cameroon: FESTAC 2020 Postponed due to Coronavirus

This year’s edition of the National Festival of Arts and Culture, FESTAC has been postponed, the City Mayor of Limbe Andrew Motanga Mojimba announced.

Andrew Motanga said the festival has been postponed due to the restrictive measures placed on movement and gatherings by government as a result to contain the spread of the COVID-19.

« Following restrictive measures to ocontain the COVID-19 virus announcd by the Prime Minister, Head of government, the City Mayor of Limbe announces that all preparatory activities related to the Limbe festival of Arts and Culture, Limbe FESTAC 2020 have been suspended till further notice, » Andrew Motanga said in a release.

He added that the measure was taken to ensure the health and safety of the population and said any further update relating to the festival will be communicated to the population.
