The Cameroon Professional Football league, LFPC has announced the local championship will resume next after threats of suspension due to financial reasons.
This decision comes just one day after the LFPC had announced it is suspending the Elite I and Elite II championships indefinitely for lack of funds.
However, it backtracked 48 hours to cancel the decision suspending the championship after announcing it had received 45 million francs from the Cameroon Football Federation, Fecafoot.
Consequently, matchday 30 of the MTN Elite I will be played on July 11 and matchday 25 of the MTN Elite II will be played on July 10.
According to sources from the LFPC, they are owed about 250 million by the Cameroon Football Federation from the funds 410 million francs which they have to give the league each year for the organisation of its competitions.
