A fourteen year old student of the Government Bilingual High School Bertoua, East region of Cameroon is alleged to have committed suicide last Tuesday at their residence, reports have said.
Reports say the fourteen year old girl committed suicide on Tuesday after school.
The circumstances that led to this tragic incident are still to be established, though rumour on her school campus reportedly has it that she got pregnant and could not identify the author of her pregnancy, fearing the parents reaction, she may have decided to kill herself.
When interviewed by the press, the mother said the daughter did not give the impression to have any problem before allegedly committing suicide, instead she appeared to be very enthusiastic about resuming school.
Her corpse was taken to the Bertoua Hospital Mortuary, while investigations have been opened by the police to determine the exact cause of the unfortunate incident
