Cameroon: French Ambassador pays homage to Cardinal Tumi

The French Ambassador to Cameroon, Christophe Guilhou has paid homage to the deceased Archbishop Emeritus of Douala, Christian Cardinal Tumi.

Tributes have been pouring in since his death was announced on Saturday morning by the Archbishop of Douala, Samuel Kleda.

To the French Ambassador to Cameroon, the nation has lost a tireless apostle for peace and national reconciliation.

We extend our condolences to his family and to all Cameroonians. Cardinal Tumi was a tireless apostle of peace and national reconciliation. The death of this important moral and spiritual conscience is a great loss for the country,” Christophe Guilhou said.

Christian Cardinal Tumi passed away on the night of Friday breaking Saturday in Douala at the age of 91 after battling with illness.
