The Chairman of the Social Democratic Front, Ni John Fru Ndi has paid homage to the the fallen prelate Archbishop Emeritus of Douala Christian Cardinal Tumi.
The prelate passed away on the night of Friday breaking Saturday at a clinic in Douala after battling with illness, the Archbishop of Douala, Samuel Kleda announced.
Tributes have been pouring in from all corners for the late prelate who was an apostle of peace and justice in Cameroon. One of such persons to pay tribute is the Chairman of the Social Democratic Front, Ni John Fru Ndi who shared several close moments with Cardinal Tumi.
“We are struggling to accomodate the fact that Cameroon will forge on without this statesman and pastor with unparalleled qualities. Cameroonians have missed an opportunity to benefit from the savy of this prelate who selflessly proposed a panacea to end the the ongoing socio-political crisis. The only thing we can do as humans at this sad moment is to pray for his gentle soul to find peace at the bosom of the Most High,” the Chairman of the SDF Ni John Fru Ndi said in a statement.
