The President of Cameroon’s Professional Football League General Pierre Semengue has rejected Fecafoot’s decision appointing him as honorary President of the Cameroon Football Federation, insisting he will defend his mandate till its end in 2020.
He was speaking yesterday during a press conference granted at the headquarters of the League in Yaounde, reacting to the resolution of Cameroon Football Federation, setting up an interim committee to manage the activities of the League following its suspension and appointing him honorary President of the Federation.
“It is an indecent proposal, I have an elective mandate I intend to exercise till the end…I completely reject what has been said notably on the League… ”He said
The decision to set up an interim committee was arrived at during an executive committee meeting of Fecafoot that held yesterday in Yaounde.
This situation comes less than a year to Cameroon hosting the 2020 African Nations Football Championship.
