General Tataw James, a key figure in the Cameroon army has passed away in a hospital in France, sources have confirmed.
He passed away on Wednesday July 25 at the age of 89 after a protracted illness, sources say. He had been battling illness months ago and was evacuated to South Africa weeks on the instructions of the Head of State before he was later flown to Paris.
General Tataw James, a traditional ruler in Manyu Division, South West region of Cameroon leaves behind a large family and subjects to mourn him.
Details of his funeral program would be released in the days ahead by the Ministry of Defence.
