Cameroon: Guinea Bissau out for revenge against Indomitable Lions at Afcon 2019

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon play their first match of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations later tday against Guinea Bissau.

When the two sides take to the pitch later this evening, it will be revenge for Guinea Bissau who lost to the Lions at the 2017 Afcon by 2 goals to one.

That day, Cameroon overcame a scare after a wonderful Piquetti goal was cancelled out by Sebastian Siani and Michael Ngadeu.

The impressive performance put up by Guinea Bissau that day serve as a source of inspiration for inspiration today but their head coach has downplayed their chances preferring to stay as underdogs going into the game.

However, Cameroon coach Clarence Seedorf has laughed off suggestions today’s opponents should be considered as underdogs and warned his players against complacency.

Cameroon head into the game 24 hours it was announced striker Joel Tagueu will miss the competition due to a heart problem. The Indomitable Lions will equally be without defender Fai Collins who has been ruled out of the game.
