Carlos Kameni, Cameroon goalkeeper, has left Spanish Primera Division side Malaga to join Turkish giants, Fenerbahce.

Kameni arrived Istanbul on Tuesday July 4, to complete his transfer to Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce had earlier announced on Monday they had reached an agreement in principle with Malaga to sign the Cameroon international. Kameni leaves Malaga after six seasons with the club to begin his new adventure in the Super Lig.

The 33-year-old has spent a large portion of his professional career in La Liga having also played seven seasons as Espanyol’s first choice goalkeeper before joining the Costa del Sol club in 2011.

He won the Africa Cup of Nations with Cameroon in 2002 and finished as a runner-up in the 2008 edition. Fener missed out on qualification for the Champions League last season after finishing third in the Super Lig.
