Cameroon: Int’l conference on Anglophone crisis postponed over Coronavirus fears

An international conference aimed at seeking solutions to the crisis in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon has been postponed over Coronavirus fears.

The conference was expected to hold at the George Washington University from March 19-21, 2020 but organisers have now pushed it forward.

The Coalition for Dialogue,CDN, an international non governmental organisation who are the main organisers of the conference said they had concluded consultations with Washington D.C. local health officials and George Washington University before taking the decision.

“Putting the safety of all participants first, the Coalition hereby announces its decision to postpone the conference to June 18-20, 2020 at the same venue,”the CDN said in a statement.

During this time the Working Groups will continue to meet and deliberate, the CDN added.
