The Cameroon Renaissance Movement says it will boycott this year’s celebration of the National Day across the national territory.
The decision was arrived at on May 1 during a meeting the party’s executive bureau held at their headquarters in Odza, Yaounde.
To that effect, a communiqué signed by the party’s Assistant Secretary General, Noah Roger Justin instructs all regional, departmental and municipal heads to inform their respective militants.
The party said they can not take part in the National Day celebrations while people continue to die in the North West and South West regions of the country, accusing the government of giving a deaf ear to calls for dialogue.
The party equally said they can not march while their head Maurice Kamto, allies and other party supporters are still in jail.
