One more person has died from injuries caused by the grenade explosion that occurred in Maroua, Far North Region of Cameroon bringing the number of death from the explosion to two.
Reports have confirmed one amongst the 28th victims of the grenade explosion that occurred in Maroua last Sunday finally succumbed to his pains.
The deceased is coincidentally a staff of the Maroua Regional hospital, where all the other victims are currently receiving treatment. According to the Director of the hospital, their situation is under control.
Reports equally hold that the authorities of the Maroua regional hospital have expressed gratitude to the World Health organization and Doctors without borders who are assisting them to cover all the medical bills.
The “Pont vert”, drinking spot where the grenade explosion occurred has been reportedly sealed and life is gradually returning to normalcy in that part of the country.
The population nonetheless is said to be anxiously waiting for the outcome of the investigations opened by administrative officials to establish the cause of the grenade explosion.
