The leader of the United People for Social Renovation, PURS, Serge Espoir Matomba was at the weekend honoured as the 2018 politician of the year.
Despite finishing seventh at the October 7 Presidential election he was crowned most valuable politician of the year during the awards organised by the ‘Groupe Africain de l’Excellence.’
His party, PURS, was also crowned as 2018 most patriotic party for its contribution to nation building and development.
After members of his party received the awards on Saturday April 20 in Yaounde, Serge Espoir Matomba said it is the fruit of eleven years of hard work at the service of humanity.
He said his party has always proposed better solutions for the wellbeing of Cameroonians while proposing an economic structure that will reduce the gap between the rich and the poor.
He also outlined his proposals for dialogue as a solution to the crisis in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon as well as proposals for the overhaul of the educational system in Cameroon.
