Cameroon: National Assembly opens on March 10

The first ordinary session of the National Assembly will open on March 10 in Yaounde as the newly elected parliamentarians begin their mandate.

A release signed by the Secretary General of the National Assembly says the session of November 10 will open in accordance with the combined provisions of Section 16(1) of the Cnstitution, Section 3(2) of the Law No. 2014/16 of 9 September 2014: Standing Orders of the National Assembly, and Section 148 (5) of the Electoral code.

However, the National Assembly will open without some other parliamentarians from the North West and South West Region where there will be a re-run after Elections Cameroon cancelled elections is some constituencies.
