Cameroon: Oku clashes leave 8 separatists dead, four soldiers injured

At least eight suspected separatist fighters have been killed in Oku, Bui Division of the North West region of Cameroon after violent clashes with security forces.

An operation launched by the Oku military brigade with support from soldiers from Bamenda on Sunday as they invaded a camp belonging to suspected led to heavy fighting.

The fighting led to eight suspeected armed separatists killed while four soldiers were heavily injured, security forces confirm.

Ten dane guns were equally seized from the armed men as well as several other weapons and amunition seized, security sources confirmed.
