Cameroon: Paul Biya appoints two new ambassadors

The President of the Republic Paul Biya Friday March 29 signed two decrees appointing Alfred Nguini as Cameroon Ambassador to France and Koloko Marie-Yvette epouse Assene Nkou as head of Cameroon Diplomatic mission to Cote d’Ivoire.

Before his nomination as new Cameroon ambassador to France, Alfred Nguini was the head of the Cameroon Diplomatic mission to Cote d’Ivoire, functions he assumed since January 25, 2008.

Though happy for his nomination, Alfred Nguini says he is well aware of the challenges that await him at the Cameroon Embassy in France, and as such, will continue to work hard as has been the case with Cote d’Ivoire.

Mme Koloko Marie-Yvette on her part leaves the function of technical advisor, chief of the department of diplomatic affairs at the secretary general of the Presidency of the republic to live her first experience as head of a diplomatic mission.

She thanked the Head of State for the mark of trust bestowed on her in Particular and on women in general.

The two plenipotentiary Ministers who have in the past years assumed several post of responsibilities are fruits of the International Relations Institute of Cameroon, IRIC.
