Cameroon: Professional football league kicks off to a flyer

The Cameroon Professional Football league kicked off in full gear on Monday in stadia across the country after several months of waiting.

The league kicked off on Sunday with Feutcheu FC of Djiko edging out Apejes of Mfou  two goals to one in Limbe.

The rest of the matches were played on Monday with Fovu of Baham coming from behind to hold Cotonsport of Garoua to a 2-2 draw.

Yong Sport Academy of Bamenda were held to a goalless draw at home by YAFOOT while Bamboutos of Mbouda defeated Aigle of the Menoua two nil.

Stade Renard of Melong thrashed Union of Douala four goals to one while Unisport of Haut Nkam defeated AS Fortuna by two goals to zero as Dragon edged UMS Loum by a goal to nil.

The matches New Stars against Colombe and Astres vs Eding have been postponed following the participation of last year’s Champions and the Cup winners in continental assignments at the weekend.
