The Minister of public health Dr Manaouda Malachie has sealed some 6 private health centres around Yaounde III for non-compliance with the required norms.

This move comes after several calls for owners of these different health institutions to regularise their situation or see their structures sealed.

Amongst the hospitals closed are the Maturity Health Centre located at Damase Maison rose and the Cabinet des prestations sanitaires et de development durable at Biyem-Assi.

In all of these six hospitals, the faults observed were nearly the same; absence of qualified personnel, doubtful hygienic conditions, involving in operations far from their capacity and competence and for some, the absence of administrative authorisation.

Speaking during the sealing tour last Friday August 02, Minister Manaouda Malachie instructed the six proprietors of the medical institutions to close and regularise their situation with the help of officials of the Ministry of public health.
