Religious leaders in the North West Region of Cameroon have prayed for a return of peace in the region so that Internally Displaced Persons can return to their homes.
Internally Displaced Persons gathered at the esplanade of the North West Governor’s office to listen to the preachers as well as received aid last weeked.
They received food stuff, building materials as well as some basic necessities which will help them resettle in their new locations.
Ministering at the esplanade, the Reverend Pastor Paul Nzokwe prayed for peace, justice and a return to normalcy. He told the IDPs to stand strong and have faith in God who can never abandon them.
On his part, the Governor of the North West Region Adolphe Lele LAfrique called on the IDPs to be law-abidding citizens in ther host communities and said government is working hard for things to return to normal. He added that the imminent arrival of the special status is a welcome solution go the predicament of the population in the North West and South West Regions.
