Cameroon: Senator Kemende murdered in Bamenda

Barrister HHenry Kemende, SDF Senator for the North West Region was brutally murdered on Tuesday, January 11.

Sources say he was attacked by armed men after leaving his résidence to get fuel from a filling station in the Nkwen neighbourhood in Bamenda. He was taken away and shot before his body abandoned at a junction.

No group has claimed responsibility for the killing of Senator Kemende.

His party, the Social Democratic Front, SDF has condemned the act and called for investigations to be opened in order to identify and punish the perpetrators.
