Cameroon soldiers kill 15 suspected separatists in NW region

At least 15 suspected separatists fighters have been killed in the locality of Chomba, North West Region of Cameroon, security sources have said.

According to a source in the Cameroon army, a raid by the Cameroon army on a camp suspected to belong to separatist fighters in Chomba left at least 15 dead while four were captured.

The army says it seizedweapons, amunition, vehicles and several instruments which the fighters used to launch their attacks.

The army said it had “captured” four of the suspected fighters including two women while two soldiers were slightly wounded in the course of the operation.
