Cameroon soldiers kill at least seven suspected separatists in Bui

At least seven suspected separatists were killed on Saturday by soldiers in Kitiwum, Mbiame in Bui Division of the North West Region, the Cameroon army has said.

The army said a raid launched in the early hours of the morning in their neighbouhood before killing the suspected armed men.

Locals have since dismissed the notion that the boys killed were armed men and confirmed they were suspected because of their dressing.

There has been outrage after one of the young men was picture alive with his hands tied before another picture emerged showing he had allegedly been summarily executed on the spot.

The incident has since scared locals who have all gone indoors as fear has gripped the locality while soldiers are reportedly carrying out raids to  track down suspected armed men in the area.
