Cameroonian Afro rap star,  Stanley Enow has announced a grand concert in Bafoussam at the start of next year in solidarity to victims of the landslide in Gouachié.

The artist made the announcement last week as he visited the site of the incident to see the destruction caused by the mudslide and console affected families.

At least 42 persons have been killed as a result of the landslide following days of heavy rains while several others are now homeless.

« I came here to pay homage to all thse who lost their lives in the landslide. It is really a sad situation and difficult to take especially the way the incident unfolded late at night when people were sleeping, »Stanley Enow said after visiting the victims.

« As an artist, all I have is my voice and we will be coming to Bafoussam for a grand concert to do something for this city. Let us do something for Bafoussam, it is our home, it is our breadbasket. In 2020, I hope to fill the Bafoussam stadium and the funds will be channelled to all affected families, »Stanley Enow added.

While waiting for the « King Kong’s » giant concert, Afro rap star Maahlox was in Bafoussam on Saturday where he equally visited the disaster site and offered some food stuffs and items of basic necessity to some affected families.
