Three women have been tortured in Bamenda, North West region of Cameroon by suspected Ambazonia fighters for participating in Labour Day activities.

In a video that has since gone viral, the women are seen sitting on the ground looking dusty as they are being questioned by their interrogators.

They are then made to promise they will never again ‘violate laws’ passed by the armed men who had requested for complete lockdown on May 1 to ‘frustrate’ Labour Day activities in Bamenda.

Labour Day activities in the restive Anglophone regions were timid after armed separatist fighters imposed a lockdown in that part of the country forcing most residents to stay indoors for their safety.

The separatists have announced another lockdown for May 19-20 to ‘frustrate’ the National Day celebrations.
